Magazine: The New York Times Magazine: Infrastructure!

Audience: Predominantly male because of the advertisements for ties and suits, even metrosexual; upper middle-upper class; educated since the majority of articles deal with architecture; perhaps architects; predominantly White, maybe some Asian; location: around major cities, particularly NYC; 20s-30s crowd;

“Getting Up to Speed” The picture of the article features trains in California and shows what speed they go out and how long it takes for that train to get to a destination if departing from Los Angeles.  The article is about the infrastructure project that Californians voted into effect.  It talks about the need and desire to get up to the speed of Europe’s high speed trains. From the opening picture you can immediately tell what the article may be about.
